FLORIDA PACE CENTERS WESTCHESTER
At our Westchester location’s End of Summer Bash, participants enjoyed a lively day filled with fun activities, socialization, and even a bit of fitness. With a full house of 40+ attendees, the event featured outdoor volleyball, personalized bag-making, water balloon fun, refreshing snow cones, and live music by Mind&Melody. The entire site was transformed with beach-themed decorations, and Florida Centers PACE employees dressed in their best summer attire, adding to the festive atmosphere. Whether participants were enjoying live music while moving between stations or cooling off with a snow cone of their choice, there was something for everyone.
The event exemplified Florida PACE Centers’ commitment to creating meaningful experiences for their participants, as expressed by Personal Care Attendant Tamara Tabares: “It’s more than just a job for us—it’s a passion. Seeing their smiles and knowing we’ve made a difference makes it all worth it.” The enthusiasm was evident as participants eagerly anticipated the day’s festivities, and true to form, Florida PACE Centers’ employees went above and beyond to ensure a memorable celebration for everyone involved.
The Westchester location also celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month with a Latin American food festival. Several different Hispanic countries were represented by beautifully decorated tables helmed by Florida PACE Centers’ employees dressed in culturally authentic attire. Participants visited each country’s table to sample traditional dishes and learn about different facets of Hispanic culture. Live music by Mind&Melody filled the air, adding to the festive and energetic atmosphere as participants enjoyed not only the food, but each other’s company.
“Our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration was a wonderful way to bring our community together,” said Angelica Mendoza, Activities Coordinator. “The food, music, and colorful decorations helped us honor the rich traditions of Latin America and beyond, creating a joyful and memorable experience for everyone.”
