Participants at our Westchester location took full advantage of the beautiful, cooler Florida weather with a fun-filled day trip to Tropical Park. The group enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, including soccer, a giant parachute game, dominoes, and a peaceful stroll around the park’s scenic pathways. The fresh air and sunshine provided the perfect backdrop for laughter, light fitness, and socialization.
“The cooler weather was so nice and gave us the perfect chance to enjoy some outdoor fun. It was great to see everyone laughing, moving, and spending time together,” said Angelica Mendoza, Activities Coordinator.

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS MIRAMAR
At Florida PACE Centers Miramar, participants came together for an afternoon of Games and Good Times — a lively event focused on mental fitness, socialization, and celebration. The center buzzed with energy as participants gathered around tables to play classic games like dominoes and cards, challenging their minds while enjoying friendly competition. The sound of live music filled the room, adding to the festive atmosphere and encouraging everyone to move, sing along, and share in the fun.
“Activities like these do more than entertain—they help keep our participants mentally active, socially connected, and full of joy,” shared Rachelle Bazile, Activity and Day Center Coordinator.

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS HIALEAH
Florida PACE Centers Hialeah was filled with energy, creativity, and connection during a fun-filled day of activities designed to engage both the mind and body. Participants sang and danced along to live entertainment, filling the room with joy and laughter. They put their memory skills to the test with a lively card game and got creative designing their own pendants — a hands-on craft that encouraged self-expression. One of the most entertaining moments of the day came during a spirited game of bobbing for apples, sparking plenty of laughs and friendly competition.
“Our participants loved testing their skills with memory games and diving into fun, hands-on activities. It was great to see everyone so involved and enjoying each moment,” said Lisa Irigoyen, Activities Coordinator.

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS MIAMI
Florida PACE Centers Miami brought the spirit of Mardi Gras to life with a lively and colorful Fat Tuesday celebration! Participants embraced the festive energy of the holiday with traditional masks, colorful beads, and themed decorations that set the stage for a day of music and fun. A live band — complete with a standout tuba performance — filled the space with classic Mardi Gras tunes.
“From the music to the masks, every detail made the celebration special. Seeing our participants light up with joy made it all worthwhile,” shared Wilkins Melian, Recreational Therapist.

Florida PACE Centers Kendall participants enjoyed vibrant activities designed to promote physical fitness, learning, and socialization. The highlight was a trip to the Zoo Miami, where participants basked in the beautiful weather while delighting in the fascinating sights and sounds of exotic animals. This outing provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect with nature and each other. The festivities continued with a spirited St. Patrick’s Day celebration featuring festive treats. Birthdays were also commemorated with joy and laughter, strengthening our sense of community.
“Seeing our participants light up during the zoo trip and celebrations reminds us why these moments matter so much,” shared Laurie Garcia, Activity and Day Center Coordinator.
