FLORIDA PACE CENTERS WESTCHESTER
Florida PACE Centers Westchester participants enjoyed two engaging activities that combined creativity, socialization, and fun. During a relaxing gardening class, participants planted flowers and decorated pots while spending time with friends. The finished pots gave everyone a chance to proudly showcase their creativity.
Participants also celebrated National Dinosaur Day with dinosaur-themed crafts and a game of bingo. “Seeing our participants connect, create, and have fun together is what makes these activities so meaningful,” shared Angelica Mendoza, Florida PACE Centers Westchester Activities Coordinator. “Every event is an opportunity to support their well-being and brighten their day.”

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS MIRAMAR
Florida PACE Centers Miramar celebrated Haitian Flag Day with a festive tribute to Haitian culture and heritage. Participants embraced the celebration with enthusiasm by testing their knowledge during trivia and dancing to music that had the whole room energized. The center also organized a community outing to the Dollar Store, giving participants the chance to shop, explore, and enjoy quality time together outside the site.
“Our goal is to create experiences that bring our participants together, celebrate their unique backgrounds, and encourage meaningful connections both inside and outside the site,” shared Rachelle Bazille, Activity and Day Center Coordinator.

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS HIALEAH
Florida PACE Centers Hialeah participants enjoyed a refreshing day at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, where they explored the grounds during a guided tour. Along the way, the group learned about the garden’s diverse plant collections and history while walking scenic pathways, admiring colorful flowers and trees, and taking in the peaceful outdoor setting.
“Spending time outdoors gives our participants the opportunity to stay active, connect with nature, and enjoy meaningful experiences together,” shared Lisa Irigoyen, Activity and Day Center Coordinator. “Seeing everyone explore, learn, and appreciate the beauty around them made this outing truly memorable.”

Florida PACE Centers Miami honored the fathers in its community with a fun-filled Father’s Day celebration featuring thoughtful gifts and a spirited game of musical chairs that had participants cheering each other on. Later in the month, the center brought the same energy to its June Birthday Celebration, where participants gathered for live music, cake, and dancing to honor everyone celebrating a birthday.

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS KENDALL
Florida PACE Centers Kendall celebrated Father’s Day with a breakfast honoring the fathers and father figures in the program. Participants enjoyed a morning of music, conversation, and time with friends and employees. Each father received a thoughtful gift in recognition of the occasion.
“Father’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible fathers and father figures in our program,” shared Laurie Garcia, Activity and Day Center Coordinator. “Watching our participants share a meal, laugh together, and feel recognized reminds us how meaningful these moments are. It’s about creating joyful experiences that bring people together and make everyone feel valued.”
