Florida PACE Centers Westchester participants enjoyed a community outing to T.J. Maxx. Back at the center, participants decorated sunflower-themed glasses and proudly showed off their finished creations.
“Everyday activities like shopping and crafts bring joy to our participants,” shared Angelica Mendoza, Florida PACE Centers Westchester Activities Coordinator. “It’s wonderful to see them spend time together, try something creative, and enjoy the little moments.”

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS MIRAMAR
Florida PACE Centers Miramar welcomed the season with a Hawaiian Summer Party, complete with island decorations. Participants dressed in luau attire for the occasion and spent the day dancing to live music and socializing with friends.
“It was a great way to celebrate summer and bring everyone together,” shared Rachelle Bazille, Activity and Day Center Coordinator. “The live music set such a fun mood, and seeing participants dressed in their luau attire made the day even more special. Everyone enjoyed the chance to dance, spend time with friends, and share in the celebration.”

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS HIALEAH
Florida PACE Centers Hialeah honored participants celebrating birthdays, bringing everyone together to share in the festivities. The fun continued with memory matching games, as participants turned over cards in search of pairs and put their focus to the test.
“Birthday celebrations help our participants feel valued and connected, while memory matching games offer a fun way to practice concentration and recall,” shared Gabriella Mattar, Patient Coordinator. “Both activities create opportunities to engage and enjoy time together.”

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS MIAMI
Florida PACE Centers Miami welcomed a furry visitor for “A Paw-sitive Visit.” Participants spent the afternoon petting and greeting a therapy dog, whose arrival sparked conversation and brought smiles.
The visit offered a relaxing way to enjoy the comfort and companionship that animals provide. Reflecting on the day, Raymond Coffe, Adult Day Center Manager, shared, “The therapy dog’s visit brought so much joy and comfort to our participants. It was wonderful to see their faces light up as they interacted with their new four-legged friend.”

FLORIDA PACE CENTERS KENDALL
Florida PACE Centers Kendall participants kept body and mind engaged with a relaxed mix of chair yoga, coloring, and crossword puzzles. Chair yoga offered a gentle way to stay active, with stretches and movements that support flexibility, muscle strength, posture, and range of motion.
Participants also turned to coloring, a chance to focus and be creative, and crossword puzzles that challenged them to think through clues and recall words. Together, the activities gave participants a safe and comfortable way to stay physically and mentally engaged, all at their own pace.
